Windows 7 PC For Sale: $750
With Windows 7 Ultimate, a 1 TB hard-drive, and a plethora of I/O options, this computer would be great for a video/audio editor/enthusiast.
It was acquired from an extended family member who happened to want a new computer at the same time the hard drive went out on this one. Not having much of a use for a non-working computer, he handed it off to me.
Before I got my hands on it, this computer was equipped with a 250 GB hard-drive, 1 GB of RAM, and Windows XP Media Center Edition. To refurbish it, I installed a 1 TB Seagate hard-drive, 4 GB of RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate. Now it runs faster and better than ever.
On top of the standard install of Windows 7 Ultimate, I installed all of the latest important Windows updates, AVG’s free anti-virus and OpenOffice.
This computer is sold “as-is,” with tower and Operating System only. All technical support will be done through Microsoft and/or HP.
Tremendous Thanks
Yesterday afternoon I had the privilege of meeting up with my friend and former colleague, Travis Spencer, for a cup of coffee and conversation about employment in Software Engineering. Through that conversation, I received wisdom and advice on finding the right position for me in the industry. Travis has been a software developer for several years now; one that I’ve looked up to since we were introduced my first year at Portland State University. He is now working for Fiserv on an enterprise-scale SOA that will be the backbone for Fiserv’s online banking SaaS solution.
On the same day, I received a very encouraging letter of recommendation from another friend and former colleague, Chip Lewis. Chip and I worked together on an Open Source Java application designed to run on the Google Android platform. The application, dubbed myAlibi, allows a user to quickly and easily track time and place of daily events. Chip now works for neutralSpace Inc. as their VP Operations. His letter is viewable on my LinkedIn profile.
Travis and Chip, I can’t thank you fellas enough.
